Launching Application Designer in PT8.55

Launching App Designer in PT8.55


On a brand new PT8.55 server, if you try to launch Application Designer (E:\pt85515\pt\ps_home8.55.15\bin\client\winx86\pside.exe) and try to log into your server, you will most likely receive this error.

There's probably nothing wrong with your password. However, make sure tnsping to this DB returns successfully and that you can still log in via PIA using this user ID and password. If this is the case continue...

Open Configuration Manager 8.55 (on our server, this is located at E:\pt85515\pt\ps_home8.55.15\bin\client\winx86\pscfg.exe)

Provide the Database Name, Connect ID, and Connect Password. Try again.

If you get this error, that means your Connect ID or Password is invalid.
